Maritimatix CEO Kathryn Masten co-authors paper for 2023 World Environmental and Water Resources Congress, entitled “Smart Cities Designed by Smart Communities: An Engaged Approach to Develop a Sociotechnical Network“. Made possible by a four-year NSF Smart and Connected Communities Integrated Research Grant, for which Kathryn serves as co-Principal Investigator, the paper describes the research team’s plans to create a digital data dashboard for communities in the Texas Coastal Bend Region experiencing risks from climate change and industrial expansion.
