Maritimatix CEO Kathryn Masten is co-author of a recently published article in the journal Environmental Science & Policy entitled “Building adaptive capacity to address coastal flooding: The case of a small Texas City“. The article chronicles industrial development and its resulting climate impacts on the City of Ingleside on the Bay (IOB) in south Texas. Dr. Masten was co-founder of the Ingleside on the Bay Coastal Watch Association, a frontline neighborhood organization whose members have been trying to stop further petrochemical buildout along the Texas Gulf Coast through speaking out and filing lawsuits.
