Community Informatics Consulting
We help communities and organizations use data and information to improve operations and address challenges related to climate change and industrial expansion. Our clients have included Ingleside on the Bay Coastal Watch Association, Coastal Alliance to Protect Our Environment (CAPE), and HELP Disaster Management. Our firm has also provided consulting services on a National Science Foundation (NSF) Smart and Connected Communities (SCC) planning grant under the direction of the University of Texas at Arlington.
Renewable Energy Systems Integration
We are pioneering systems integration technology to promote renewable energy. Our flagship project is the Maritimatix™ Pod—a modular microcontroller-based computer built from open-source printed circuit boards (PCBs), which can be integrated with third-party systems via an expansion board. Our proprietary Maritimatix™ MNOS (Mesh Network Operating System) firmware enables smarter, safer, and more autonomous operations. Our demonstration platform is the RPV Maritima, a former sailing catamaran we are converting to a “smart catamaran” powered only by renewable energy.
